Week 7 ACL and Bucket Handle Tear Recovery

Well this week.. Nothing big really! My knee feels great with very limited issues outside of a tiny bit of a clicking feeling when I stand too long and then bend my knee! I have really begun turning it up in the gym with volume training/HIIT workouts where I am replacing all impact cardio with biking. I have been able to walk around 30 minutes a day and do a 1 hour workout as well. The workout is usually something like this:

10 rounds of the following "Back and Bi's"

10 bicep curls each arm
10 kettle bell swings
10 squats
10 kettle bell rows
10 ball slams
10 4 count flutter kicks

This usually takes me about 45 minutes to complete but sometimes it is closer to an hour if I add in battle ropes timed for cardio or the bike for 1 minute each round in the beginning.

I am really hoping that when I go back to the surgeon they tell me that I have had a remarkable recovery and can begin running as soon as I want but I know that isn't going to happen. The truth is that even though my strength and recovery have seemed so fast the actual meniscus and ACL will need time to heal even when it feels healed on the outside. It is still sensitive so staying calm and not going overboard is key!

That is all I got for this week! Stay positive folks! I dont have leg lifts any longer and no need to stretch for 15 minutes either before getting the legs ready to go!
